In Thailand, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej developed the philosophy of the Sufficiency Economy to lead his people to a balanced way of life and to be the main sustainable development theory for the country. The Sufficiency Economy became critical during the economic crisis in 1997, in which Thailand needed to maintain stability to persist on self-reliance and develop important policies to recover. By creating a self-supporting economy, Thai citizens will have what they need to survive but not excess, which would turn into waste.
The game imitate one village that lives under sufficiency economy philosophy. The village members are doing 1) Fishing 2) Mango Farm 3) Chicken Farm and 4) Rice Farm. They consume and sale their products for living. Unfortunately, the village is located in low land which causes the flood every rainy season. The villagers has to transport their products to the warehouse on the high land with difficulty because of the condition of the old road. They decided to help each other to build a new road. In order to do that, they have 2 choices. One is produce and sale their product directly. Another one is exchanging products and trans form it to another product which has more value.
To win this game, the players have to compete and cooperate at the same time. The game ends when roads to the warehouse are complete. The winner is a person who donates the most.
